18 Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to get acquainted with Cephas and stayed with him fifteen days. 19 I saw none of the other apostles—only James, the Lord’s brother. 20 I assure you before God that what I am writing you is no lie.
21 Then I went to Syria and Cilicia. 22 I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea that are in Christ. 23 They only heard the report: “The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.” 24 And they praised God because of me.
When you see commercials, you look for the features and benefits of the products. You see if there is a need for the item and if it will benefit you. What really captures my attention is if there is testimonial from somebody who has used this item and speaks about how it really works. I understand you need to watch out for those infomercials where they may be getting paid to say something about the product.
Paul is a walking commercial and testimonial for those who want to know the true way to worship God. He shares about how he persecuted the Church and trying to destroy it. He shared about his history and how he had to convince the disciples at that time that he truly converted over to Christ. I’m sure he had the skeptics who thought perhaps there was in impure motive for Paul to get into the inner circle of leadership. This shows that God can do anything through anybody, even though Paul was previously an enemy of God.
