14 When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table.15 And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16 For I tell you, I will not eat it again until it finds fulfillment in the kingdom of God.”
17 After taking the cup, he gave thanks and said, “Take this and divide it among you. 18 For I tell you I will not drink again from the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”
When it comes to calling a meeting at work, there is preparation needed to have a successful meeting. Time and location of meeting needs to be reserved and the agenda needs to be setup so that everybody who is invited will know why they are involved and what is expected of them when the meeting starts. When there is food at a meeting, the mood will easily change. There will be less negative attitudes when there is food served at a meeting.
Jesus sent out his disciples to prepare for the meeting that he wanted with his disciples. It was to be the Passover and Jesus specifically wanted to eat the Passover with his disciples. Jesus used this meal as a teaching moment to help his disciples understand that the meal represents the sacrifice that he will go through and suffer for us. This was a special meeting as he reveals the new covenant that will be established and that only those in that room were the first to know about these details.
