1 Corinthians 1:22-25(NIV)
22 Jews demand signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.
When there is good news, we just can’t help but share with others what is going on. As the Summer Olympic Games continue and the resulting athletes are crowned as a medalist, the social networks are buzzing with tweets, posts and other updates of those who have won. These athletes are doing amazing things that most of us could never do.
The Apostles had been with Jesus and they cannot help but testify and share the message of Jesus. This is great news that can be shared with everybody. Even though some of the disciples were persecuted, they continued to appear foolish to the world by continuing to share God’s wisdom and God’s strength to the world. In the same way, Jesus has done an amazing miracle that we can never do on our own and that is great news to share.
