13 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. 14 For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 15 If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.
Lawyers get paid a lot as they need to continue to keep up with the changes in the law. They do need to go through so many documents, read previous cases, analyze and be able to correctly handle the law for their client. There are specializations in law such as patent law, family law, injury law, environmental law, criminal law and the list goes on. It would be difficult for one lawyer to know all of these laws, so some get really good and specialize in all the laws of a specific law.
What would happen if everything was just summarized as one law. We know that one of the most important commandments in the Bible is to love God with all of your heart, soul, mind and strength. There are many ‘commandments’ in the Mosaic Law, but Paul says that the entire law is fulfilled in keeping one command. This command is to love your neighbour as yourself. If everybody in this world followed this one law, there would not be any need to go to court over assaults, theft, murder, etc. There would be more peace in our world, but man has a sinful nature and many end up destroying each other because there is no love.
