Healed Through Jesus
1 John 2:1-2(NIV)
1My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
At work, I participate in the joint health and safety committee and one of my duties is to do a safety inspection in the warehouse on the first aid kits, fire extinguishers, fire hoses, emergency backup lights and to ensure that there is no unsafe condition for the workers. I don’t work in the warehouse, but I am aware of the safety manual that they need to read and review. There are instructions for them to follow for safe operation when charging and operating the electric tow motors. If there were no instructions or signs on where the fire extinguishers and first-aid kits are, there will be bound to be an injured worker.
The Bible was written with us in mind. We are on this earth and no instruction manual was given to our parents. When we had children, we also did not have an instruction manual on how to raise them up. We live our lives sometimes oblivious to some of the rules that God has provided. The Bible teaches us righteousness so that we will not sin. When we do sin, we will get hurt, either physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually. The good news is that Jesus Christ is like the first-aid kit. We can be healed through Jesus and the atoning sacrifice that was made on our behalf.
