Great Vision

Hebrews 11:7(NIV)

By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that is in keeping with faith.

There was a time that people looked at the moon and wondered if we would ever set foot on the moon.  It took vision, great faith and technological advances to allow the United States to send astronauts to set their feet on the surface of our moon.  When there is a problem, you think of a solution to solve it.

There were many problems in the days of Noah.  The intent of all the people were to do evil all the time.  God’s solution is to wipe out all life on earth using a flood, but he wanted to continue with a righteous man Noah and his family.

Somehow Noah got the message from God that he should build an ark.  God told him that he will destroy the earth with a flood; something at that time that has never happened before.  Noah didn’t question or ask why God should destroy so many people.  He simply obeyed.  How could Noah believe what God is saying if it has never happened before?  He had great vision and was able to visualize what God wanted.

Noah was credited with great faith because he built an ark to save his family in an environment where there was never any flooding.  Jesus wants us to have great faith and great vision as well, especially when it comes to our walk with God and what we can accomplish collectively in his Church and in our family.
