Cling to What is Good

Romans 12:9-13(NIV)

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

Life is busy and we can easily forget things such as what to pick up from the supermarket or to return a book from the library.  Schedules are hard to maintain without putting in a reminder in our calendar or smart phone.  I remember a time before the phone when sticky notes were so popular to remind me of things that I need to do.

This looks like a quick check list of the practical things that God wants us to do. Each one is very short and a great reminder for us of what we need to do.  Hating what is evil and clinging to what is good would be one of the top picks as it helps us to make the right choices. The other practical is to serve the Lord by serving others through hospitality and meeting needs of others.
